Le département Technologie de Brahma DNEG Dedicated Unit (Brahma DDU) est responsable de la création et du support des technologies et de l’infrastructure qui alimentent les studios mondiaux VFX et animation de longs métrages de DNEG, répartis sur plusieurs sites. Avec des milliers d’artistes produisant des dizaines de milliers de plans pour le cinéma, la télévision et des expériences immersives, nous faisons face à des défis complexes en matière de passage à l’échelle et de workflows.

Les concepteurs de workflows en IA générative sont des experts dans la création de pipelines efficaces et fonctionnels pour le déploiement de modèles d’IA générative audiovisuelle. Avec ComfyUI comme plateforme principale, ils se tiennent à la pointe de l’écosystème GenAI, qu’il soit open source ou propriétaire, en identifiant et en intégrant les outils et technologies les plus récents. Ils sont responsables du développement de nouveaux workflows, de leur optimisation et du maintien des workflows existants au niveau de l’état de l’art.

Cette équipe collabore avec les équipes créatives en construisant des workflows modulaires et adaptables à leurs besoins spécifiques, puis travaille avec l’équipe ML Technology afin de les transformer en solutions scalables et multi-plateformes. Une part importante du rôle consiste également à utiliser ces workflows en production lorsque du support direct sur les projets est nécessaire.

Responsabilités principales

Concevoir et maintenir des workflows efficaces et fonctionnels pour le déploiement de modèles GenAI audiovisuels, principalement avec ComfyUI
Collaborer avec les équipes GenAI et de recherche pour développer, évaluer et affiner des templates de workflows avec des outils et technologies de pointe
Travailler avec des équipes créatives multidisciplinaires afin de transformer des workflows modulaires et personnalisés en solutions scalables
Collaborer avec les équipes GenAI en production pour livrer des plans lorsque nécessaire
Travailler aux côtés de l’équipe pipeline GenAI pour maintenir et faire évoluer notre environnement ComfyUI personnalisé
Créer de la documentation de formation structurée décrivant les workflows afin de faciliter leur adoption par les équipes créatives

Profil requis

Expertise avancée de ComfyUI : maîtrise approfondie de ComfyUI. Ce dernier étant la principale plateforme de développement de workflows, vous devez être très à l’aise dans la création de workflows, de nœuds et de pipelines personnalisés
Expérience en Digital Matte Painting :

Excellente maîtrise des techniques avancées de matte painting (espaces colorimétriques, peinture numérique, gestion de fichiers Photoshop)
Solides compétences en photographie, notamment en composition, profondeur, éclairage et couleur
Connaissance des principes de base de la projection et de l’intégration d’environnements 3D

Expérience avérée dans l’intégration efficace d’outils et de techniques existants dans des pipelines personnalisés
Capacité à comprendre rapidement, évaluer et présenter de nouvelles plateformes de déploiement de modèles, tout en contribuant au développement de solutions internes
Capacité à communiquer aussi bien avec des équipes créatives qu’avec des équipes techniques (développeurs)
Expérience professionnelle dans le test de modèles génératifs photoréalistes, idéalement avec un focus sur la vidéo
Forte implication dans les communautés GenAI et bonne connaissance de l’écosystème, open source comme propriétaire

Atouts supplémentaires

Expérience préalable dans un environnement pipeline ou orienté R&D
Capacité à lire et comprendre le Python

Inclure une courte présentation écrite expliquant comment vous avez utilisé ComfyUI pour concevoir des solutions ou résoudre des problématiques créatives et techniques

Veuillez noter que ce poste est un poste syndiqué et qu'il sera couvert par une convention collective entre la société DNEG et IATSE dans les mois à venir. En tant qu’employé-e syndiqué-e, vous serez tenu-e d'adhérer au syndicat et bénéficierez des conditions énoncées dans la convention collective. Les cotisations syndicales seront exigées une fois que la convention collective sera en place.

Le salaire de base pour ce poste à temps plein est compris entre 120,000$ CAD et 135,000$ CAD. Les fourchettes salariales chez DNEG sont déterminées en fonction du poste, du service, du niveau et du lieu de travail. Le salaire d'un individu au sein d'une fourchette donnée est déterminé par ses compétences transférables ou liées à son poste et par son expérience professionnelle. Les fourchettes salariales sont modifiées de temps à autre en fonction des données externes du marché recueillies par le biais d'enquêtes menées par des tiers.

The Technology department at Brahma DNEG-Dedicated Unit (Brahma DDU) is responsible for creating and supporting the technology and infrastructure that powers DNEG’s multi-site, global VFX and Feature Animation studio. With thousands of artists producing tens of thousands of shots across film, TV, and immersive experiences, we face complex scaling and workflow challenges.

Gen AI workflow designers are experts in creating efficient, functional workflows for deploying Audiovisual Generative AI models. With ComfyUI as their primary platform, they stay on the cutting edge of the open and closed source Gen AI landscape - identifying and integrating the latest tools and technologies. They are responsible for developing new workflows, finessing them and keeping existing ones aligned with the state of the art.

This team works with creative teams by building templatable workflows tailored to their specific needs, then collaborating with the ML Technology team to transition those into scalable, cross-platform solutions. A key part of the role is also using the developed workflows in Production when direct support on shows is required.

Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain efficient, functional workflows for deploying audiovisual GenAI models, primarily using ComfyUI.
Collaborate with GenAI and research teams to develop, evaluate, and refine workflow templates with state-of-the-art tools and technologies.
Collaborate with creative multi disciplinary teams to transition templatable, tailored workflows into scalable solutions.
Collaborate with GenAI show team to deliver shots in active Production when needed.
Work alongside Gen AI pipeline team to maintain and develop our custom ComfyUI environment.
Create structured training documentation describing the workflows so they can be adopted by creative teams.

Must Haves

ADVANCED ComfyUI user - Expertise in ComfyUI. As this will initially be the main workflow development platform, the candidate must be very comfortable and experienced creating custom workflows, nodes and pipelines.
Background in Digital Matte Painting:

Thorough knowledge of advanced matte painting techniques including color space, digital paint techniques and Photoshop file management
Technical proficiency in photography with an emphasis on composition, depth, lighting and color
Working knowledge of the basic principles of 3D Environment projection and integration

Proven experience at effectively implementing existing tools and techniques into wider custom pipelines.
Quick to understand, evaluate and present other potential model deployment platforms to the team, while assisting in developing in house alternatives.
Ability to communicate both with Creative and Technical teams (developers).
Professional experience testing photoreal generative models, ideally with a focus on video applications.
Deep engagement and awareness of the Gen AI communities and offerings, across both open and closed-source spaces.

Nice to Have

Prior role in a pipeline or RnD-focused environment.
Ability to read and understand Python.

Please note that this is a unionized position and will be covered by a collective agreement between DNEG and IATSE, in the coming months. As a unionized employee, you will be required to join the union and will benefit from the conditions set out in the collective agreement. Union dues will be required once the collective agreement is in place.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 CAD to $135,000 CAD. DNEG salary ranges are determined by function, department, level, and location. An individual's pay within a given range is determined by their transferrable or job-related skills and work experience. Salary ranges are modified from time to time based on external market data collected through our third-party surveys.
